Try Thai Foot Massage
A marriage between
the ancient healing arts of reflexology, Chinese tuina, Japanese shiatsu and
Indian ayurvedic yoga, Thai foot massage of the feet and lower legs is both
invigorating and deeply relaxing. Using hands-on massage with warm, moist
heat and light rubbing, this method is ideal for tired feet, improving
circulation and lymph movement and increasing flexibility. For anyone who
has tried reflexology, this treatment may just surprise yet impress how
different the techniques feel.
Diane Murray, LMT
received her first Jin Shin Jyutsu session in 1979 and the healing gentleness
of that art led to her lifelong study and becoming certified as a self-help
trainer/teacher. Murray founded The Effortless Solution, Inc. and opened
her private practice at The Health Center, adding Swedish and Thai Foot Massage
to her offerings.
During treatment,
the client lies comfortably, face-up, on a massage table or zero gravity chair.
Shorts, skirts or loose pants are best to allow the therapist access to the
legs from the knees down. “My clients have reported to me that they feel
relaxed, de-stressed, energized and content,” Murray shares. “Some have
reported reduced pain in the feet, reduced feelings of numbness and a discontinuation
of leg cramps at night.”
